My niece's birthday is coming up. I'm not sure of the exact date. I remember e-mailing her last year when she turned ten. I go through the archives to find the exact date. This was the e-mail I sent to her:

It says on my calender that you'll be turning 10 next week. I was going to surprise you, but I'll tell you now: I got you a Pony!!!
The pony was too big for one box, so I had to put it in several boxes (MESSY!). When they all show up, have your mom help you put it together, as she seems to know everything.
You can expect a Birthday Call from me!!!!!

The title of your post led me to believe that you were going to tell a story about your niece/nephew having a child. I'm not sure if it would have been a better plot or not.
